PMC has a long-standing history in the greater Flint community going back decades. PMC served as the Physician Organization (PO) within the Hurley Physician Hospital Organization of Mid-Michigan (HPHO) until 2009.
Our History
In 2008, Professional Medical Corporation (PMC) and Health Medical Corporation (HMC) reached an amicable agreement to dissolve the Health Provider Health Organization (HPHO) and establish independent contracts with health plans. Since then, PMC and HMC have consistently maintained open lines of communication and fostered a highly positive working relationship.
Since its start in 2008, PMC has grown to 440 members with expansion across several counties across the eastern half of Michigan.
